Can't wait to see the havoc that will follow Esme and Cassandra. There's going to be future Babysitter Club adventures coming in 2020. At times though the Pop references pulled me out of an otherwise engaging novel.

I liked this hilarious paranormal, especially the antics of Esme and her observations of the world around her. They even have their own 'Giles', someone who helps them with their task of keeping demons and other paranormal beings out of our world. Seems when these 'chosen' teens turn seventeen, their supernatural abilities come into being. She's edgy, has mega 'tude, gorgeous and has her own ability. She actually does like babysitting, and prides herself on being good at it.Ĭassandra is another member of the Babysitter's Club. Esme seems to be that accident prone girl where destruction follows her. The driver's ed scene with Esme had me literally laughing so hard I was in tears. There's some really, really funny scenes throughout this story. There's lots of Pop culture references throughout, including a huge shout out to 90s icon Buffy the Vampire Slayer. These teens have super powers that are suppose to help them banish evil from our world. What worked: This is a quirky, humorous at times paranormal novel where a babysitter's club is really a code name for a group of teens who are in charge of humanity. Love, Mom.' Turns out, Esme and Cassandra have more in common than they think, and they're about to discover what being a babysitter really means: a heroic lineage of superpowers, magic rituals, and saving the innocent from seriously terrifying evil. So why is Cassandra willing to do anything, even take on a potty-training two-year-old, to join Esme's babysitters club?
